History: Axel arrived at Duel Academy during the third year. he arrived with 3 other students from the other academies. Professor Viper, who came along with Axel, had some sort of evil plot to get rid of Jaden. Axel had started out to help Viper carry out his plan. But when he figured out what Viper was doing, he turned against him, and tried to stop whatever it was that Viper was doing. Axel failed in doing that, but Jaden eventually stopped him.
After Jaden defeated Viper, all of Duel Academy was transported to an alternate dimension. But that all ended after an attack between a creature named Yubel, and Jesse Anderson's Rainboe Dragon. A few hours after being transported back to reality, another portal opened up. There, anyone who lost a duel would be "sent to the stars". When Jaden went berserk, Jim and Axel teamed up to stop him. Jim failed, but Axel didn't. Axel challenged Jaden, who was known as the Supreme King, to a duel, which ended in a draw. Axel was sent to the stars, but he brought the Supreme King with him.
Later on, Axel and everyone else who was sent to the stars were discovered to be alive. He and the others were held prisoner in an alternate dimension by Yubel. The prisoners were returned to Duel Academy after Jaden's soul fused with Yubel's.
